How we’re making our donations go further
Making a difference in my community is important to me, but my company doesn’t match my charitable donations or offer matching dollars when I volunteer. My partner and I keep separate bank accounts, and when we look at our budget for giving, we try to divvy it up smartly. I make contributions to groups that Boeing wouldn’t match, like our church or political candidates. She writes the checks to causes that will get the Boeing match, like STEM education or veterans nonprofits. That helps our money do the most good.*

How we’re helping our community
Our daughter is obsessed with birds, and she loves visiting the Avian Conservation Center. We’ve spent hours there, especially in the Center for Birds of Prey. I’m proud that the money my partner donates to the Employees Community Fund has helped provide that space. Together, we’re helping kids learn and explore.*

How Boeing helped us weather a nasty storm
Spring tornadoes aren’t entirely a surprise when you live in Texas. But when one struck nearby and destroyed our roof, we were surprised by what it would cost to make our home livable again. My husband's manager told him about the Employee Disaster Relief Fund, which provides emergency grants for moments like this. The application process was simple, and the money provided helped us cover the unexpected bill. He’s going to start donating to the Employees Community Fund, so we can pay it forward.*
