Before you request a carpool or AFV parking pass, make sure to update your work location and mail code in your Workday Profile. Without a current mail code listed in Workday, you may not receive your carpool parking pass.

*NOTE: Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) parking passes are only applicable to the Mesa and El Segundo sites.

Access TRAMS to register or renew your parking pass.

Select Parking > Parking Activities.

Select Carpool Registration or AFV Registration.

Read and sign the Terms and Conditions.

Select one of the following employee types:

• Boeing: Employee carpools or combination employee and contractor carpools
• Contractor: Exclusive contractor carpools

Note: do not choose Other which is designated exclusively for multi-employer carpools.

Enter your BEMSID to automatically populate data fields.

Complete the following required fields:

• Alternate phone
• Number of days per week you ride to work
• Distance (one-way) in miles from home to work
• Vehicle make and model (e.g., Honda Accord)

Select Add to List each time to register members of your carpool.

• Only the Primary Contact can update or cancel registration record.
• If there is no vehicle information for carpool partners, type in “Rider." Boeing no longer requires vehicle license plate information.

When done, select Register.

Passes are printed and mailed out weekly on Wednesdays, from the Mesa, AZ site. Please allow up to 10 business days from the date your pass is printed to receive it at the mail code you have listed in Workday.

Employees who are returning from a leave of absence, as well as those who are returning from a temporary assignment, have had a recent worksite transfer, or are new hires, may have a delay of up to 15 business days before they can access TRAMS to request a carpool parking pass.

Our Commuter Benefits program helps you use pretax dollars to pay for commuting expenses, such as vanpool and public transportation, using payroll deductions. Your expenses come out of your paycheck before income taxes are calculated, which can help reduce your tax liability.

Commuting expenses eligible for reimbursement include:

• Public transit fares, including tickets, passes, tokens, vouchers, or other fares for riding buses, trains or other mass transportation vehicles
• Official vanpool fees
• Parking fees at or near your workplace, or at a location from which you commute to your workplace via mass transportation or a carpool (e.g., park-and-ride lot)

Commuting expenses not eligible for reimbursement include:

• Tolls or costs for your personal vehicle on a ferry crossing
• Traffic tickets
• Fuel
• Mileage or other costs you incur in operating a vehicle
• Taxis
• Payments to a fellow participant in a carpool or to a friend who drives you to work
• Parking at your personal residence, your spouse’s place of work, a mall or similar location where you stop on your drive to or from your place of work or an airport for taking an airplane to work
• Costs that have been or will be paid by your employer, such as for a business trip

The Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH) reimbursement benefit is offered to encourage employees to vanpool, carpool, ride public transit, walk or bicycle to and from work.

You must register for qualifying commuting methods to qualify. Eligible employees will receive a site-specific, predetermined number of guaranteed rides per calendar year. GRH will reimburse fares up to $125 per trip.
